Land Monitor Stewardship Training Day

Date: 11/4/2017
Time: 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM
Location: Sherman Senior Center

Stewardship monitoring (walking the property lines of our current conservation holdings) is something that Naromi is required to do each year.  It ensures that we are maintaining the conservation value of our properties and keeping them intact for future generations.
Naromi is convening a Monitoring-Blitz on Saturday, November 4 starting at 9 AM.  The day will include a training session to go over the monitoring process followed by field visits to Naromi properties throughout Sherman.  All monitors will be matched with a partner and, depending on the number of stewards, each team may be assigned several properties that you can work on together.

Light breakfast and lunch will be provided.  You may join us for the meeting in the morning even if you cannot dedicate the day to Naromi.  Students are welcome!
Keep in mind anyone under 16 should have a parent/adult partner.

If you cannot come at all on November 4, you can still participate! You may monitor your assigned property as long as at least one person on your team feels comfortable with how to complete a field visit. Monitoring visits are best after the leaves come down, but before the snow flies.

Would you like to be a Naromi Land Trust Steward and help Naromi inspect its properties? Sign up today for this training and for the opportunity to be outdoors, get some good exercise, and see some of Sherman's special places up close and personal.

Send us an email at office@naromi.org or call 860-354-0260 to register as a Naromi Steward today and to join us on November 4!
